Product Description

2200 mm Steel Navigation Buoy for Channel, Coastal and Offshore Marking
A durable steel buoy platform for long-term marine navigation projects

The DX-ST2200A is designed for projects that require a strong steel buoy, a clear daymark and sufficient height for a marine lantern. Its four-chamber float body, protected steel structure and removable tail cone support reliable operation, maintenance and transport in demanding marine environments.

2200 mm Steel Navigation Buoy for Channel, Coastal and Offshore Marking

Reliable Navigation Marking for Coastal and Offshore Projects

For channel, coastal and offshore marking, the buoy must provide clear identification while supporting the required lantern and daymark configuration.

The DX-ST2200A combines a CCSB main body with a Q235B + CCSB framework, creating a dependable platform for marine navigation equipment. Its 2200 mm float and elevated lantern position support clear daytime and nighttime marking.

Four-Chamber Float Design

The welded float body is divided into four sealed chambers. The buoy is designed to remain afloat even if two chambers are flooded, providing additional flotation protection if part of the structure is damaged.

This internal arrangement is particularly important for projects where access for inspection or recovery may be limited.

Corrosion Protection for Marine Operation

Sacrificial zinc anodes help protect the steel structure against corrosion during service. The buoy also uses an HT200 Cast Iron ballast and can be supplied with project-specific paint colours and coating thicknesses.

Easier Handling and Transportation

Lifting lugs are included to support lifting during production, transport and deployment.

The removable tail cone reduces the space required during transportation and allows the main buoy sections to be handled separately when required. This can be useful for international shipping and sites with limited handling space.

Configured for the Required IALA Mark

The topmark helps identify the buoy’s function during daylight.

Dexonmarine can configure the buoy with the appropriate IALA topmark, colour and light characteristic for lateral, cardinal, special, isolated danger, safe water or emergency wreck marking, according to Region A or Region B and local authority requirements.
