Product Description

2600 mm LLDPE Polyethylene Marine Navigation Buoy with Integrated Solar Power, for Coastal, Offshore and Harbour Applications
A stable buoy platform for navigation marking and smart AtoN equipment

The DX-PE2600B is a large IALA navigation buoy manufactured from rotationally moulded LLDPE for coastal, offshore and harbour applications. Designed as a platform for modern marine AtoN systems, it provides high buoyancy, integrated solar power and space for lanterns, AIS AtoN and monitoring equipment.

Stable Support for Navigation Equipment

Large navigation projects often require more than a lantern. AIS AtoN units, communication devices, batteries and monitoring equipment all add weight and place additional demands on the buoy platform.

The DX-PE2600B provides 6000 kg total buoyancy and 3400 kg reserve buoyancy, giving customers greater flexibility when planning the final equipment package. Its 700 kg ballast and wide float body help provide a stable base for long-term marine deployment.

Dexonmarine solar-powered navigation buoy provides a practical starting point for projects that need a powered AtoN platform rather than a basic buoy body.

The final battery, lantern, AIS AtoN, communication module and sensor package can be selected according to the required operating time, monitoring functions and project environment. Dexonmarine buoy systems can support lanterns, AIS AtoN, 4G or satellite communication and environmental sensors.

Lower Maintenance Than a Fully Steel Float

The rotationally moulded LLDPE float is resistant to saltwater corrosion and does not require the same routine repainting as a conventional steel float body.

EPS foam filling provides additional buoyancy support, while the hot-dip galvanized Q235 steel framework supplies structural strength for the tower and equipment installation.

Polyethylene navigation buoys are widely used for coastal, port and offshore applications because rotationally moulded PE offers impact resistance, toughness and reduced corrosion-related maintenance.

Ready for Smart AtoN Integration

The Polyethylene (PE) Marine Navigation Buoy can serve as more than a visual navigation mark. Depending on the project, it can be configured with:

  •     Solar marine lantern
  •     AIS AtoN
  •     RACON or radar reflector
  •     GSM remote monitoring
  •     BeiDou or satellite communication
  •     Meteorological sensors
  •     Wave, water-quality or salinity sensors
  •     Mobile and PC monitoring access

Typical Applications

The marine buoy DX-PE2600B is suitable for IALA buoyage systems and marine navigation projects, including:

  •     Port and harbour approaches
  •     Coastal navigation routes
  •     Offshore navigation marking
  •     Channel entrances
  •     Safe-water marking
  •     Large marine construction zones
  •     Smart AtoN projects
  •     Environmental monitoring platforms
  •     Projects requiring additional equipment payload
Configured for the Required IALA Mark

The topmark helps identify the buoy’s function during daylight.

Dexonmarine can configure the buoy with the appropriate IALA topmark, colour and light characteristic for lateral, cardinal, special, isolated danger, safe water or emergency wreck marking, according to Region A or Region B and local authority requirements.

Built as a Complete Navigation Buoy System

The DX-PE2600B is more than a buoy body. It can be configured with integrated lighting, AIS AtoN, RACON, remote monitoring and environmental sensors to create a complete aid to navigation solution.

Before production, Dexonmarine reviews the buoy structure, payload, power system, equipment layout and buoyage requirements to deliver a system configured for the intended operating environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects is the DX-PE2600B designed for?

It is designed for large coastal, offshore and port-waterway navigation projects, especially where additional solar-powered AtoN or monitoring equipment is required.

Are the marine lantern and AIS AtoN included?

They should be selected according to the project. The buoy includes solar panels and equipment cabins, while the lantern, AIS AtoN, batteries, communication modules and sensors can be configured separately.

Does the buoy require regular repainting?

The LLDPE float does not require the same corrosion-control painting as a steel float. The galvanized steel structure should still be inspected and maintained according to the deployment environment.

Can it support remote monitoring and sensors?

Yes. It can be configured with AIS AtoN, GSM or satellite communication and a range of environmental sensors, subject to equipment space and power-budget review.
