Product Description
The DX-ICE-104 Series is designed for navigation buoys operating in Cold-Region Waterways, high-latitude regions and other severe winter environments.
This Ice Buoy Lantern uses a curved, low-profile housing to help reduce direct ice impact on exposed parts.
Cold-resistant components support reliable operation down to −40°C. GPS and BeiDou are standard, with optional AIS, GSM, satellite communication and project-specific GNSS configurations.

The cold-region marine lantern provides 4 NM nominal visibility for navigation buoys in frozen waterways and winter operating areas.
Its sealed IP68 structure and cold-resistant internal design support operation from −40°C to +60°C, making it suitable for sites where standard marine lanterns may not provide sufficient protection or low-temperature reliability.
GPS and BeiDou are supplied as standard for positioning, timing and synchronised flashing.
Position monitoring helps identify when a buoy moves outside its assigned area, while synchronisation allows multiple lanterns to flash together for coordinated channel or waterway marking.
GLONASS, Galileo and other regional satellite-positioning systems can be configured where required by the project.
The DX-ICE-104 Series can be configured according to the site’s communication coverage and monitoring requirements.
The DX-ICE-104-GSM supports remote equipment status, alarms and parameter configuration through a monitoring platform.
It is suitable for sites with cellular coverage where operators need to identify faults or position changes without making unnecessary winter inspection trips.
The DX-ICE-104-AIS supports Type 1 and Type 3 AIS AtoN operation with FATDMA, RATDMA and SOTDMA modes.
It allows the buoy mark to transmit AtoN information through the AIS network. The typical AIS communication range is 15–20 NM, depending on antenna installation and site conditions.
BeiDou messaging, satellite communication, 4G, NB-IoT and project-specific communication options can be configured for remote areas where standard cellular coverage is limited.
