Product Description

Product Overview

When a vessel approaches a harbour entrance, channel mark or offshore structure, recognising the correct navigation aid matters as much as detecting a radar target. The DX-RACON-01 Single Band adds an identifiable coded response to the designated mark, giving mariners a radar reference that can be associated with that aid.

Operating on X-band at 9300–9500 MHz, the unit responds to compatible marine-radar interrogation with a configured identification code. It is intended for navigation buoys, lighthouses and fixed marine aids where radar identification forms part of the project’s marking requirements.

An integrated FRP enclosure combines IP68 protection with a −40°C to +70°C operating range. A 9–36 V DC input, low average power consumption under the specified duty settings and an RS485 interface give project teams defined electrical and integration requirements to work with when preparing the installation.

DX-RACON-01 single band X-band marine radar beacon with integrated FRP cylindrical housing

Give your navigation mark a recognisable identity on compatible X-band radar. The DX-RACON-01 Single Band receives a vessel’s radar interrogation and returns a configured coded response, helping the mariner relate the radar indication to the designated aid.

On a navigation buoy or fixed marine mark, this adds an identification reference alongside the site’s visual marking arrangement. It is useful when the project calls for a specific mark to be recognisable on radar, including approaches where several coastal or marine targets may be present.

Single Band X-band Radar Beacon RACON with IP68 FRP Housing and 9-36 V DC Input for Marine Navigation Aids

Choose radar identification around the way your site is used. The DX-RACON-01 Single Band is intended for projects requiring X-band response at 9300–9500 MHz, with selectable identification codes to match the designated navigation mark.

Its 360° omnidirectional horizontal coverage supports approaches from different bearings. The actual installation still needs a suitable antenna position, clear exposure and a mounting arrangement appropriate to the aid. These factors help turn the equipment specification into a practical marking installation.

The integrated FRP cylindrical housing provides a defined exterior arrangement for buoy, lighthouse and fixed-beacon applications. Together with the DC power input and RS485 interface, it allows the project team to consider the radar response, structure and electrical connections as one

Pre-Order Compatibility Checklist
  • Q1. Will it work with our vessel radar?

It operates on X-band at 9300–9500 MHz. Confirm the vessel-radar band and compatibility required at your site before ordering.

  • Q2. Can nearby navigation marks be distinguished?

Select an identification response from A–Z, 0–9 or NW, NE, SW and SE, matched to the project's marking plan.

  • Q3. Can it use our existing DC power supply?

Input is 9–36 V DC. Average consumption is ≤2 W at a 1:1 operating / silent ratio. Plan site power around the actual settings.

  • Q4. Is it suited to exposed marine sites?

The FRP housing has IP68 protection and a −40°C to +70°C operating range. Follow the project's mounting and cable-sealing requirements.
